75 Minutes-$80
A 75-minute massage allows time for a full body massage with some extra work in one area of tension. It is also a good choice for larger individuals, as they may need more time than smaller individuals to receive a full body massage.

Deep Tissue Massage With Optional Foot Scrub/Rub

Service Definition

Therapists that provide this service: Erin, Tiffannie or Gwen.

A Deep Tissue Massage relieves muscle tension and reduces muscular pain. People with chronic pain or athletes who wish to increase their performance will most likely benefit from regular deep tissue massage.

A 30-minute deep tissue session will only allow the therapist time to concentrate on one or two areas of the body. Most serious athletes choose a 60-, 75-, or 90-minute session. Massage therapists who give deep tissue massage often have a heavier touch. If you have a pressure sensitivity or have never had a massage before, we recommend you try our integrated therapeutic massage to discover the style of massage that best suits your needs.

Specialty Massages

Prenatal Massage with optional Belly Facial

Service Definition

Therapists that provide this service: Erin, Mary or Gwen.
For some of you, pregnancy is easy (we are envious of you). But, for most women being pregnant (despite our excitement to be with child) can be tiring, painful, and downright frustrating at times. The best prescription for those moments when pregnancy isn't feeling so great is the caring touch of our trained therapists. Our massage therapists will soothe your achy hips, back, legs, and feet, and provide you with some much needed relaxation.

Mary, Gwen and Erin are three of the few certified prenatal massage therapists in the area. They were all trained under Becky Stoermann-Snelson, who has been a labor and delivery nurse for the past 30 years as well as a certified prenatal massage therapist. Below, we have answered a few of the most common questions women ask about prenatal massage. Feel free to call or e-mail us if you have more questions.

What is the belly facial option?
Pregnancy got you itching? You won't be scratching your belly after this wonderful treatment. After 60-, 75-, or 90-minutes of your "oh so fabulous" massage, we will spend 30 minutes exfoliating and moisturizing your itchy tummy with our custom blended scrubs and lotions.

Can I lie face down?
Many moms-to-be hear about some massage therapists who have tables with holes in them or other equipment that enables pregnant women to lie face down while on the table. While this sounds great to many pregnant women, this equipment is not good for you or for your baby. Massaging a pregnant woman face down (regardless of the equipment used) increases intrauterine pressure, decreasing blood flow to the fetus and placing stress on your baby. It also places stress on the sacrouterine ligament, which attaches to your tailbone and uterus. The extra stress on this ligament causes more low back pain for the mother in the long run. Most women also report that lying face down is uncomfortable, even with special tables and padding.

Our prenatal massages are performed in side lying/semi-reclining positions to ensure that we protect you and your baby from potential harm and/or pain during and after you receive a massage in our office. We use specialized equipment and/or lots of pillows to make you comfortable while on our table. Women who have experienced our side-lying massages say they are more comfortable than any face down massages they have received.

Can I receive a massage during my 1st trimester?
During your first trimester, you may receive massage from our therapists as long as you do not have a high risk pregnancy and you are not experiencing certain complications. As long as you are comfortable, we can massage you face down just as we would a woman who is not pregnant. Some women who experience morning sickness/nausea during the first trimester find that massage momentarily relieves the nausea. Other women experience an increase in nausea after massage. Trust your instincts during this time. If receiving a massage does not sound good, wait until you are no longer nauseous to book an appointment. Also, feel free to bring anything (food, water, comfort items) that will make you feel comfortable during your session, and always tell us if there is anything we can do to make your experience more enjoyable.
