Policies and Procedures
Cancellations/Tardiness
Time has been specifically reserved for your massage. Please let us know at least 24 hours ahead of time if you must cancel an appointment. All no-show and non-emergency cancellations with less than 24 hours of notice will be charged a $30.00 fee. In order to keep excessive cancellations from affecting other clients' ability to book with us, you will not be allowed to return to our office after 3 cancelled appointments without 24 hours notice within a one year time frame.

Please try to arrive a few minutes prior to your scheduled time to ensure a full session. If tardy by more than ten minutes, your time on the table will be adjusted accordingly and you will be charged for a full session.

Sexual Misconduct
Occasionally, we have worked on people that make sexual advances or request sexual favors. As a result of the problems we have encountered with these clients, we require that every client verify his/her identity with either a driver's license or photo ID before being allowed on the table. At Caring Touch Massage, we have a zero tolerance policy for sexual requests, advances, or any type of sexual misconduct. If you choose to ignore this policy, you can expect us to do the following:
  • Immediately following an incident, your therapist will end the massage and leave the room.
  • You will be required to pay in full for the massage regardless of the amount of time you spend in our office.
  • If you do not pay and leave the premises as quickly as possible after the incident, we will call the police. The police station is only a block away from us.
  • All incidents (including sexual requests) will be reported to the City of Blue Springs Police Department.
  • You will not be allowed to schedule an appointment in our office in the future.

We try very hard to ensure that our clients feel safe and respected in our office. We only ask that you do the same for us. If you are looking for more than a legitimate therapeutic massage, do not book an appointment with us.

You may read all of our policies here: http://www.caringtouchmassage.biz/policies.php.
Confidentiality
Our profession is regulated by HIPAA. Your health history and any other information you share with us over the phone, or before, during and after a session, is strictly confidential. Your health information will only be released if it is legally subpoenaed, or if you sign a health information release form.

Hygiene
Please take into consideration that the work we perform puts us in close contact with you. We work the soft tissues with our bare hands using pressure applied directly to the skin. Please arrive as clean as possible, and we promise to do the same.

We try to minimize the transmission of germs by washing our hands before and after the session, disinfecting the table, and using clean sheets and blankets for every client. If you are sick or have a contagious disease, please call and reschedule the appointment. It is very important that we maintain our health for your sake as well as other clients. You will not be charged a fee if you have to cancel an appointment due to illness.

Last, Please do not wear heavy perfumes or smoke right before the session. Smells may linger in the room after you are gone, and they can have a negative impact on other clients who have allergies.

Intoxication
Arriving at our office with alcohol or drugs in your system is not permitted. We maintain the right to refuse to work with anyone who is under the influence of either substance. Anyone who arrives intoxicated will be asked to leave after paying the full amount for the scheduled massage.

Tipping
Tipping is always appreciated, but never expected. Many clients choose to tip 10-20%, depending on the length of the massage session. There is no obligation to tip. It is a voluntary/personal choice and should be based on your level of satisfaction with the service you've received as well as your own comfort with your financial situation.
